Step 1: To begin sharing your live location on Instagram, first, navigate to the chat with the friend or group you wish to share your location with.

Step 2: Then, tap on the plus icon found within the chat. Among the options that appear, you'll find the location option; select it to start sharing your live location.

Step 3: If you need to pause the location sharing, just tap on the plus icon and click on the stop sharing option.

Instagram's introduction of live location sharing is part of a broader update that significantly enhances user interaction within the app. In addition, the social media platform has added 17 new sticker packs, featuring over 300 new stickers, perfect for when text messages fail to capture the essence of your thoughts.

Additionally, an updated DM sticker tray and the ability to assign nicknames to friends in your chat, much like on Snapchat, are part of this refresh. To set a nickname, simply tap on the chat name at the top of your conversation, select "Nicknames," and then choose the username of the person you wish to nickname.
