Edit Internet Configuration Settings File
Well, to optimize internet connection, you need to modify internet configuration settings file. By editing 'Van Jacobson TCP/IP header Compression' in the configuration file, will essentially increase your 3G speed.
Users who modified the configuration file, have reported 3G connection speeds up to double than what they previously had. But, this hack is dependent only if your carrier provider supports the feature.
Requirements to speed up 3G?
To speed up 3G connection, you need to root your Android smartphone. Rooting your smartphone will void the warranty and could delete all the data, backup all your data before rooting your device.
Download the Options.7z archive. This folder contains the amended version of the file already in your system folder, and needs to be replaced.
Download a file manager such as ES File Explorer or similar, from Google Play Store, which is compatible to allow access root files and change file permissions.
How do I speed up my 3G data?
Step 1: Download the archive options.7z and extract and you will get a file named called Options.
Step 2: Copy the Options file to your device to the SD card root.
Step 3: Open ES File Manager and allow root permission by going to Menu >> Root Explorer >> On >> Confirm.
Step 4: Now find the "options" file from within the ES File Manager and Copy, and paste into the folder "/ system / etc / ppp".
Step 5: Change the permission of the Option file: tap and hold the file: More >> Properties >> Edit (Permission) >> activate the three permission under Readable (owner, group and other), deactivate the three under Writing and activate the three under Execute. And press OK.
Step 6: Reboot the device.
