How to stop iPhone and iPad apps from asking for ratings in iOS 11
iOS 11 comes with many features that make the user experience much better.
Using an app that just can’t stop asking to leave a review is quite irritating. The most annoying thing is that you encounter this problem with each and every app that you install on your iPhone and iPad. iOS 11 has fixed this issue to a great extent by limiting the frequency of such requests by the app.
Also, the great news is that you can now altogether stop receiving these requests by making small changes in the Settings of your smartphone.
Why should you upgrade to iOS 11?
Upgrading to iOS 11 has its benefit. Even if you do not change the setting, you would be notified only thrice a year to review an app. Apple has made it official that it will reject apps that come with their own rating request prompt. There is no way that the developers can ask you to review their app more than thrice a year even if you update it.
How to stop an app asking for ratings altogether?
Apple has made few Settings changes in iOS 11 that allows the users to prevent all the apps from asking you to rate them. By default, of course, the apps have the rights to ask the user to review their apps. However, you can change that never to allow any app to ask for any ratings. Follow the simple steps given below to get rid of the problem altogether.
Step 1: Go to the ‘Settings' section of your smartphone.
Step 2: Open "iTunes & App Store."
Step 3: Scroll down and find "In-App Ratings & Reviews" option. Toggle it off.
Congrats! You have now successfully managed never to allow any app to ask for ratings ever again.
Wrap Up
Disabling the "In-App Ratings & Reviews" option does not mean that you will never be able to rate or review an app. You can directly open the App store and review and rate the app again. The only difference is that things are now under your control. You can simply choose to review and rate an app or can simply do it by hitting the App Store.
