How To Uninstall Windows 10 Pre-Loaded Apps

Windows 10 has a lot of pre-installed apps like Xbox, Groove Music, People, Maps, etc. They don't occupy much space but there are simple ways to uninstall them if you wish to get rid of them.

These built-in apps cannot be uninstalled from the control panel but you can definitely uninstall them through other methods. These universal apps can be uninstalled by some simple methods. First Method: Uninstalling the Apps from the Dropdown menu

It is the simplest method to uninstall the built-in apps in Windows 10. First go to the start menu and there you will have to type the name of the app. Simply right-click on it and then select Uninstall. Although it is easy, all the universal apps cannot be uninstalled by this method. It will be done in almost no time and you will get rid of the app easily.

Second Method: Using Powershell

Powershell can be used to remove the built-in apps in Windows 10. The operating system has many uses and uninstalling these apps are made simple this way. Powershell is really popular to uninstall the built-in apps and is used by many all over the world.

Step 1: On Windows 10 Search Bar, type in Powershell. Right-click on Powershell. Then select Run as Administrator.

Step 2: Type the following command: Get-AppxPackage | ft Name, PackageFullName -AutoSize. Then you can see a list of all the installed apps. They are all of the current users.

Step 3: If you wish to remove any app, in particular, you will have to type the following command: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp

You will have to replace the app name and then again use the wildcards*. It should be used before and after the name of the app in the Powershell.

Step 4: You will have to wait for a while so that Windows can remove the bloatware. Then you will be done and the built-in apps can be removed.

These are the various methods with the help of which built-in apps can be removed or uninstalled from Windows 10. Although you can uninstall most of the built-in apps in this manner, you cannot uninstall the critical apps.

They are meant to stay in the operating system and there is no method to remove or uninstall these apps. Apart from these certain apps, you can remove mostly all the built-in apps that are there in windows 10. As for the rest of the permanent built-in apps, you actually cannot do much but to keep them on your Windows 10.
