How to Use Meta’s AI Video Editing Tools to Transform Your Videos

Meta has introduced innovative video editing tools that utilise AI to transform videos. These tools, available for free temporarily, offer over 50 preset prompts. Users can modify themes, backgrounds, and even attire in their videos. The presets function similarly to Instagram filters, allowing users to restyle clips into various styles like video games or anime.

The editing tool is currently accessible in the US and over a dozen other countries through the Meta AI app, Meta.AI website, and Edits app. However, it only applies changes to the first 10 seconds of a video. Users can share their edited videos on Facebook and Instagram or feature them in the Discover feed within the Meta AI app.

How to use Meta to Edit Videos?

Step 1: Access the AI Video Editing Tool

You can use the tool through any of the following platforms:

• The Meta AI app
• The Meta.AI website
• The Edits app

(Note: The tool is currently available in the U.S. and more than a dozen other countries.)

Step 2: Upload Your Video

• Select a video from your device.
• Keep in mind: Only the first 10 seconds of your video will be edited by AI.

Step 3: Choose a Preset Prompt

Meta currently offers 50+ preset prompts for free (temporarily). These presets function like Instagram filters. Options include styles such as:

• Anime look
• Video game aesthetics
• New backgrounds (e.g., desert, galaxy)

Future Enhancements

Currently, users cannot input custom prompts for editing. However, Meta plans to introduce this feature later this year. This will allow users to edit videos using their own text prompts alongside Meta AI's capabilities.
