Nothing Warp Lets You Send Files From Android to PC Without a Cable or a Workaround: How To Install and Setup
Nothing Warp had a genuinely strange debut. It launched on April 15, 2026, got pulled within hours with no explanation, and then came back a week later after what Nothing described as some fine-tuning. The Chrome extension has been re-listed, but the Android app hasn't returned to the Play Store and is currently only available as an APK from Nothing's community site.

Odd rollout aside, the app itself is worth knowing about. Here's what it does and how to get it working.
What Is Nothing Warp?
Nothing Warp is an Android app and Chrome extension combo that lets you transfer files, links, clipboard text, and images between an Android phone and a Mac, Windows, or Linux desktop. It uses your Google Drive as a temporary bridge, and files are automatically deleted from the cloud once the transfer is complete.

Nothing says the app originally started as an internal tool for its employees before they decided to open it up to everyone. It's not just for Nothing phones either. The tool works on all Android phones, not just Nothing devices.
What You'll Need
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready. You'll need an Android phone (any brand), a computer running Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium-based browser, and a Google account that's signed into both your phone and your browser.
Step 1: Download The Android App
Since the app isn't on the Play Store right now, you'll need to sideload it. Head to Nothing's community site at nothing.community and find the Warp download thread. Download the APK file to your phone.
Before you can install it, go to Settings, then Apps, and look for Special App Access or Install Unknown Apps. Select the browser or file manager you used to download the APK and enable the toggle to allow installation from that source. Once that's done, open the APK file and tap Install.
Step 2: Install The Chrome Extension
On your computer, open Chrome (or any Chromium browser) and search for Nothing Warp in the Chrome Web Store. Install the extension and pin it to your toolbar so it's easy to access.
Step 3: Sign In On Both Devices
Open the Nothing Warp app on your phone and sign in with your Google account. Do the same in the browser extension on your computer. Both devices need to be signed into the same Google account for the transfer to work.
Step 4: Send A File From Your Phone To Your Computer
On your phone, tap Share on any image, file, link, or piece of text, then choose Nothing Warp from the Android share menu. The file will upload to your Google Drive in the background and appear in the Nothing Warp extension on your computer. Click on it there to download it.
Step 5: Send Something From Your Computer To Your Phone
From the browser extension, you can upload files using the dedicated upload button, right-click on any highlighted content and send it with Nothing Warp, or paste text directly into the extension. Once sent, it shows up in the Warp app on your phone where you can open, copy, or save it.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
Transfer speed depends entirely on your internet connection, so larger files will take longer. This isn't a local, peer-to-peer connection like AirDrop. It routes everything through the cloud, which is fine for quick document or link transfers but not ideal if you're moving big video files.
On privacy, Nothing Warp doesn't store your files on its own servers. It uses your personal Google Drive space, so your data stays within your own account.
The app is also still in beta, so the experience may not be perfectly polished. Nothing hasn't confirmed when or if it's coming back to the Play Store, so sideloading is the only way in for now.
