Go Back in Time with These 4 Tools That Will Restore Accidentally Deleted Files on Windows
Imagine accidentally deleting an important file be it a thesis paper or all the photos that carry your memories from the Windows PC or laptop. It may not be important, but something that you actually need. In that case, you might head on to the Recycle Bin, but what if you don't find it there as well.
Don't worry! There's still hope left for you. There are some useful tools for Windows that will help you restore the deleted files. These tools have a good success rate, so you can take a deep breath and relax to get back the accidentally deleted files.

You can give these tools a try and see if you can get back the lost data back on your Windows. Some of these tools can work on other platforms besides Windows as well. Note that it is always better to backup the important files using a flash drive, email or cloud storage on a regular basis to avoid such difficult times.
Restore Previous Versions
The Windows 7 OS comes with the Restore Previous Versions tool. You should enable the System Protection feature that will create restore points automatically on a set period. The restore points will be used for tracking the file versions. The highlight is that this feature will track the history of not only files but also folders.
To restore a deleted file, you need to go the specific folder and revisit a past version of that folder. This will give a previous version of the file that was deleted as well.
Recuva
Recuva is quite popular among the third-party file restoration programs. It features a straightforward interface that functions pretty well and easy to use as well to restore the deleted files.

It can scan one of the drives and display all the lost files and it is quite easy to recover these files as it involves just the click of a button. With this tool, you can also get the opposite also done at ease. You can delete files without an option to recover them.
Pandora Recovery
This is a recovery tool that allows you to restore the deleted files by searching for a specific file or folder or by simply browsing the file system for the data that you need to recover. You can search for the file names, file creation dates, file sizes, and last accessed dates of the file.

Though this is not the fastest recovery program that is available for use, this is definitely effective. A cool feature of Pandora Recovery is that it lets you preview a file (image or text) before you recover the same to make sure it is the intended file.
PhotoRec
PhotoRec stands for Photo Recovery and it is a tool that was initially started for recovering photos that were deleted accidentally. Now, it has been improved to recover even other files and not just photos.
It features a two-set with TestDisk, which is a tool to recover the disk partitions. But, you can ignore the same if you are going to use it. The drawback is that this tool lacks a graphical interface. It is console-based and it is a bit difficult to learn for users without command line experience. However, the advantage is that it is cross-platform supported and it can be used on devices running on Mac, Windows, and Linux.
