Many subscribers who have got themselves a Jio 4G SIM card are facing issues such as non-activation of their SIM card, inability to make calls, low connection speed, delayed activation, and so on. One such issue is the Tele-Verification SMS that is sent to the subscribers even after the activation of their 4G number.

Well, this issue is faced by several Jio subscribers and it is true. There are Jio customers with the SMS from the service provider requesting them to complete the tele-verification process despite having their SIM activated and enjoying the free and unlimited Preview Offer.
After all, it isn't a serious issue
It is annoying that people are getting the Jio Tele-Verification SMS even after their SIM card is active and they can make calls and use the data. But, it definitely isn't a serious issue. The customers who have already completed the verification process by dialing 1977 need not undergo another verification process.
There's a fix
The Jio 4G users can fix this issue and stop getting the SMS that requires them to take up the identity verification process. The complementary voice and data service of the Jio numbers will work soon after the identity verification by calling 1977. The new Jio users should complete the tele-verification immediately to avoid getting such SMS later.
Stop Jio from sending the SMS again
First, you need to activate the 90 days Preview Offer by checking the My Jio app and the account info. The 90 days complementary and unlimited data and calls plan should be activated and you should get an expiry date as well.
Call 1977 to verify
Dial 1977 from the Jio number and choose the preferred language. Then, you need to select Account/Identity verification option and key in your mobile number. Next, you will hear that your 4G Jio number is active and you can disconnect the call.
No more annoying SMS
After following these steps, you will no more get the annoying SMS requesting you to take up tele-verification. Jio is in the beta phase and there is sudden rise and fall in the support system. Jio might fix this issue soon after its commercial launch.
