Enable Reading Mode to Reduce Strain to Your Eyes

'Reading Mode' is also known as 'Night Mode'. Google is apparently adding a night mode in Android N Nougat, however, Xiaomi has this for ages. You can set between the strength of the reading mode depending on your liking and you can choose some apps which automatically use reading mode. The Reading mode can be found under device settings.

Set a Group for Service and Promotional Messages

Xiaomi's MIUI allows you to group between service and promotional messages. You need to manually enable it in device's settings by heading over to Settings>Apps> Messaging> Enable 'Notifications Group' and 'Check SMS for OTP'.

A dedicated Child Mode

Quickly Change the Lockscreen Wallpaper

In MIUI 7, you can change the wallpaper within the lock screen itself. The Wallpaper Carousel comes enabled by default and you need an internet connection to change between the wallpapers. There is a button on top right of the lock screen. By pressing it, you can change the wallpapers.
