Tired of Random WhatsApp Calls? Here's How to Silence Unknown Callers
People who have your number can call you on WhatsApp, but sometimes you're at work or in the middle of something important, and getting calls from unknown numbers can disrupt you. In that case, you can use WhatsApp's built-in feature that lets you silence unknown callers. Here's what it is and how it works.
WhatsApp Silence Unknown Callers Explained
WhatsApp has an inbuilt feature called Silence Unknown Callers, which allows you to silence calls from numbers that aren't saved in your contacts. These calls will still appear in your Calls tab and notifications, but your phone won't ring. Later, if you feel the call was important, you can call back directly from the WhatsApp call log. Here's how to enable it:

How to Silence Unknown Callers on WhatsApp
Step 1: Open WhatsApp, tap the three-dot menu, and go to Settings.
Step 2: Navigate to Privacy and then select Calls.
Step 3: Now, enable the Silence Unknown Callers toggle.
Once this is turned on, your phone won't ring when you receive a call from an unknown number. However, the call will still appear in your Calls tab, and you can call back later if needed.
It's also worth noting that even if you call or message a silenced caller back, you won't be able to silence their calls in the future. If you want to stop receiving calls from them entirely, you'll need to block the number.
The Silence Unknown Callers setting gives WhatsApp users extra control over daily interruptions. It helps lower the impact of spam calls and unwanted contact while keeping channels open for essential calls, as long as people review their missed call list regularly and decide which numbers deserve a response.
