While only the Vivo V30 Pro opted for ZEISS optics last year, this time out, both the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro will feature ZEISS cameras. Apart from ZEISS cameras, the Vivo V40 series will also feature curved OLED displays, large batteries, fast charging support, and the latest software.

The Vivo V40 series launch in India is taking place later today at 12 noon IST. The Vivo V40 series event will be livestreamed on the company's official website as well as social media and YouTube channels. For your convenience, click on the link to access the livestream.

Following its launch, the Vivo V40 series will go on sale in India through the company's e-store and Flipkart. We expect the Vivo V40 price in India to range anywhere from between Rs 34,000 to Rs 40,000, while the Vivo V40 Pro price in India will start from under Rs 50,000.

Vivo V40: What to Expect?

The Vivo V40 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone could pack a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. The vanilla Vivo V40 will sport a curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution.

For optics, the Vivo V40 will feature a 50MP primary camera sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the phone is expected to use a 50MP camera sensor with AF for selfies. The handset runs Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14. The Vivo V40 comes in Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey shades. It also features an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.

Vivo V40 Pro: What to Expect?

The Vivo V40 Pro is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone could pack a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. The Vivo V40 Pro will also sport a curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The handset runs Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.

For optics, the Vivo V40 Pro will feature a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera will be paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto-portrait shooter. Up front, the Vivo V40 Pro will use a 50MP "ZEISS Group Selfie Camera" with AF. The Vivo V40 Pro comes in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey shades. It also features an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
