What is so special about Amazon Dash Button?

The dash button is a simple device that consists of an AA battery and a small circuit. It is like a mini computer that is capable enough to connect to your Wi-Fi network and send messages. You can order about a hundred products by using Amazon Dash. These products are the one that you use in your everyday life.

What is the Amazon Dash Button used for?

You first need to setup the Dash Button to use it. When your phone and the Dash Button are paired, the information of your Wi-Fi is automatically sent to the Dash Button. In return, the Dash Button sends a serial number that is unique to the app. The app on your phone will now send this serial number to Amazon.

After you have set up the Dash Button, you need press the button that is placed in front of the device. The device then wakes up from the sleep and blinks the LED white light to indicate that you have pressed the button. What next? It will connect itself to Wi-Fi and then orders the product that you want directly from Amazon by sending them a message.

Each button in the Dash Button is assigned to the different product, and that is how you can order different products with just a click.

What happens after you have ordered the product?

Amazon acknowledges your request after it receives the message and the LED light of the Dash Button changes to green. And then it goes back to sleep again. As a result, you can order thousands of products with just a single battery.

In case, the Dash Button is unable to connect itself to Wi-Fi network, the LED light will turn red, and the device will go back to sleep
