Yahoo's new improved Image Search includes Flickr images and a host of features

Yahoo has made changes to its image search by adding users Flickr photos as part of its image search feature. Google has something similar, where users can make their publicly viewable photos available on Google Images. Yahoo follows this tech trend that search engines are following.

The integration of Flickr images is a new step to make Yahoo's search results more rich. This also helps Yahoo become a better search engine. Yahoo account users can add Flickr photos in search.Yahoo has updated its image search with integration of Flickr photos. So now when you are signed into your Yahoo account, you can find your Flickr photos in search.

When users search for images on Yahoo, it will show images according to the terms they have entered in to the search engine. They will also be able to see photos from Yahoo's image cloud - Flickr. Yahoo allows users to search photos along with images from people you follow as well as most popular photos on Flickr. With this update, Yahoo is bringing Flickr and image search on the same page as the same search functionality can be found on Flickr as well. Yahoo will show images from the web as well as revealing images from Flickr.

Yahoo's improved image search allows users to use advanced filters like color and size that can be applied while searching for images from the web as well as images from Flickr. Users can also use "license" feature from the drop down that displays licensed images, a feature that works well for people who want to buy images

The "more images" button directly links to Flickr.com as one is able to view several categories of images from Yahoo's very own Flickr. The new Yahoo image search integrated with Flickr is available to exclusively to desktop users in the U.S. on desktop starting today.
