Acer Launches Predator Helios Neo And Nitro 5 Gaming Laptops In India: Price, Specifications, and Availability

Acer expanded its gaming line-up in India at the Next@Acer India event in Delhi on August 10, launching three Predator Helios Neo laptops alongside the new Nitro 5 series. The Predator range starts at Rs 2,42,990 and the Nitro 5 series at Rs 1,67,990, with up to Rs 10,000 cashback across both.

Acer Predator Helios Neo Series Specifications

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI sits at the top. It runs up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU carrying up to 16GB of GDDR7 memory. The 16-inch WQXGA HDR display runs at 240Hz with a 1ms response time, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, G-SYNC, Calman verified colour and full DCI-P3 coverage. Acer supports up to 64GB of DDR5 and 2TB of PCIe Gen4 storage, and cooling comes from fifth-generation AeroBlade 3D fans with liquid metal thermal grease and vector heat pipes.

The Helios Neo 16S AI is the thin one, measuring under 18.9mm in a metal chassis. It pairs up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H with an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, and gets a 16-inch OLED WQXGA panel at 165Hz with DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification and G-SYNC. Memory goes to 64GB, storage to 2TB, and the battery is a 92Wh unit.

The Helios Neo 16 rounds out the trio for mainstream buyers. It runs up to an Intel Core i9-14900HX with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and its 16-inch WQXGA screen runs at 180Hz with a 3ms response time, a MUX switch and full sRGB coverage. Memory tops out at 32GB with 2TB of storage, and it adds Thunderbolt 4 and Killer DoubleShot Pro networking. All three run on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture with DLSS 4.5, and ship with PredatorSense and Acer Intelligence Space.

Acer Nitro 5 Series Specifications

The Nitro 5 and Nitro 5 Pro both use Intel's 14th Gen Core HX processors, going up to a Core i7-14650HX on the Nitro 5. Both share a 16-inch Full HD+ display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 165Hz refresh, full sRGB coverage, and support up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory with 2TB of PCIe Gen4 storage.

The Nitro 5 comes in two configurations. The first pairs an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU with a 62Wh battery and Nahimic audio. The second steps up to an RTX 5050 with a larger 73Wh battery and Sound Blaster Studio+, and brings NVIDIA's Blackwell features along with it, including DLSS 4, fifth-generation Tensor cores and Reflex 2. The Nitro 5 Pro follows the same split.

Both Nitro models use a dual-fan, dual-intake, dual-exhaust cooling layout and a 4-zone RGB keyboard managed through the Nitro Control Center. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1 and RJ-45 Ethernet, and there is an HD webcam as well.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 starts at Rs 2,42,990, the Helios Neo 16S AI at Rs 2,62,990 and the Helios Neo 16 AI at Rs 2,82,990. The Nitro 5 and Nitro 5 Pro start at Rs 1,67,990. Acer is offering cashback of up to Rs 10,000 across the range.
