Acer launched the Acer Swift X 16 at the Next@Acer 2023 event. These "zero-compromises" laptops pack the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs and are aimed at professionals.

As the name suggests, the Acer Swift X 16 features a 16-inch display and some serious specifications. These powerful portable computers are aimed at creative professionals with graphics-heavy workloads in applications like Adobe Photoshop. The Acer Swift X 16 laptop features a 16-inch 3.2K OLED panel with a 3200 x 2000 pixels resolution. The 16:10 aspect ratio screen has VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe display certifications and supports 100% DCI-P3.

The OLED panel has a peak brightness of 500 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and less than 0.2ms response time. These Swift X 16 laptops have thinner bezels and 33 percent more scrolling space than previous models. Acer claims this laptop has the largest touchpad among the company's current laptop portfolio.

The Acer Swift X 16 is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series dedicated GPUs. The top-end model has an octa-core AMD Ryzen 9 7940H processor which is paired with AMD Radeon 780M graphics and also gets a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU.

Needless to add, the latest NVIDIA GPUs offer next-gen ray tracing, AI and AV1 video encoding, access to NVIDIA Studio Drivers, and exclusive tools such as NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Broadcast, and NVIDIA Canvas.

The powerful CPU and GPU are paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage along with a dedicated MicroSD slot to expand onboard storage space.

Acer has announced the Acer Swift X 16 but the premium laptop will be available for purchase in May. These laptops will first launch in China. Their pricing in China starts at RMB 7,999 (approx. ₹95,000). There's no official confirmation about the laptop's launch in India.

The laptops will launch in multiple European markets, followed by North America. The Acer Swift X 16 will be available in EMEA in June starting at EUR 1,566 and in North America in July starting at USD 1,249.99.
