IFA 2017 is in full swing and tech companies are introducing their latest cutting edge products at the annual tech show in Berlin, Germany. PC maker Acer has announced two LTE-connected 360-degree cameras- Holo360 all-in-one camera and Vision360 - a Cloud-Connected Driving Experience camera system.
Acer says that the Holo 360 allows users to capture, view, edit and share with just one device, and the Vision360 cloud-connected in-car camera is designed for peace-of-mind, and fun driving experiences.
Acer Holo360 Camera
As per information shared by Acer, the Holo360 is powered by the Qualcomm Connected Camera Platform with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile processor. Combining the power to stitch videos in real-time, integrated LTE connectivity, and a 3-inch touch-screen for operation, the Acer Holo360 aims to provide an all-in-one solution to livestream 360-degree videos.
Backed by Panomorph optics, Holo 360 has ImmerVision capture technology to click high-resolution images across the field of view without distortion. This allows the camera to capture photos in 6.9K resolution and videos in 4K. Users can also relive captured moments with a virtual reality headset, immersing themselves with memories across space and time.
The Holo360 runs on Android 7.1 and will allow users to share 360-degree photos and videos directly to social networks. Users can also preview videos directly on the device without the need to pair and sync with a smartphone or PC.
Acer Vision360 - A Cloud-Connected Driving Experience
Next is the Acer Vision360 cloud connected camera. Vision360 has two ultra-high quality shooters working together to provide 360-degree coverage. Acer Vision360 is aimed at capturing every angle around the user's car in 4K-quality video.
When an object collides with the vehicle when it is in motion; the device will trigger a recording that includes GPS coordinates of where the incident occurred, which is not only saved in a secure area on the device's internal storage, but also uploaded to the cloud for evidence preservation.
For safety, the Vision360 is mounted on the windshield, aligned with the driver's eyes and also displays the vehicle's current speed.
With the help of Vision360's cloud-connected service, any collision with the car while it is parked will activate the device to record a video clip. Moreover the system will also send a notification to the user's smartphone, and will upload the video to the cloud.
The Vision360 also provides users with on-demand remote viewing and location-tracking from the device for peace-of-mind.

The Acer Holo360 connected camera will be available in North America in November at $429 bundled with a water-resistant case; and in EMEA in Q4 with prices starting at €349. Acer hasn't specified any availability date for the launch of two connected cameras in India.
Besides, exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region.
