Apple CEO Tim Cook Teases New ‘Air’ Products Launching This Week: MacBook Air M4 and New iPad Air Expected
Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, has hinted at the introduction of a new device in the Air series this week. In a post on X, Cook shared a brief video with the message, "There's something in the air," accompanied by the caption, "This week."
While Cook hasn't specified which device will be launched, speculation points towards a new MacBook Air. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to unveil 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models featuring an enhanced M4 chip.

New MacBook Air M4 Incoming
This announcement is expected to occur sometime this month. Last year, Apple introduced its M3 MacBook Air around the same period, suggesting a similar timeline for this year's release. In addition to the anticipated MacBook Air models, there are other devices under Apple's Air branding that might be in development.
Gurman previously mentioned that Apple intended to launch iPad Air models and keyboards near the release of the iPhone 16E, which debuted last month. Over the weekend, Gurman observed that Apple is "beginning to wind down" its iPad Air inventory, indicating an impending product launch.
Rumours of Other Potential Devices
There have also been whispers about a potential iPhone "Air" model. However, it seems unlikely that such an announcement will happen soon. The focus remains on the more imminent releases within Apple's current lineup of products.
The anticipation surrounding Apple's upcoming announcements reflects their ongoing strategy to refresh and expand their product offerings regularly. By introducing updated versions of popular devices like the MacBook Air and potentially other products in their Air series, Apple continues to maintain consumer interest and market relevance.
