Apple Launches 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air (2025) with M4 Chip, Liquid Retina Display, Thunderbolt 4
Apple has introduced a refreshed of its MacBook Air, featuring the 10-core M4 chip, initially seen in the iPad Pro (2024). The MacBook Air (2025) retains the 13-inch and 15-inch Liquid Retina display options and comes with 16GB of RAM. Users can configure it with up to 2TB of SSD storage. It supports Apple Intelligence and operates on macOS Sequoia.
The MacBook Air (2025) is priced at Rs. 99,900 in India for the base model with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The larger 15-inch variant starts at Rs. 1,24,900 for the same configuration. Pre-orders are open, and sales begin on March 12 in India. Colour options include Midnight, Silver, Sky Blue, and Starlight.

MacBook Air (2025) Display and Performance
The MacBook Air (2025) offers Super displays in both 13-inch (2,560×1,664 pixels) and 15-inch (2,880×1,864 pixels) sizes. These displays boast a pixel density of 224ppi and can reach up to 500nits peak brightness. The laptop supports two external displays with resolutions up to 6K when open.
Powered by Apple's M4 chip, the laptop features a CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores. It also includes an 8-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. Hardware accelerated ray tracing is supported as well.
The MacBook Air (2025) can be configured with up to GB of RAM and a maximum of 2TB SSD storage. It includes a quad speaker setup with Spatial Audio support and a three-mic array for enhanced audio experiences. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Ports available are two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports, a MagSafe 3 charging port, and a standard headphone jack.

Additional Features
A Touch ID button allows users to unlock the device or authenticate purchases securely. The Force Touch trackpad supports Force clicks and Multi-Touch gestures for improved navigation. The laptop is equipped with a FaceTime camera offering Stage and Desk View support at a resolution of 1080p.
The smaller MacBook Air variant has a capacity of 53.8Wh supporting fast charging at up to 70W but ships with a standard 30W USB Type-C adapter. The larger model has a slightly bigger battery at 66.5Wh capacity.
Apple claims that this new model can provide up to 15 hours of web browsing or up to 18 hours of video playback using the Apple TV app. This latest release from Apple continues their tradition of innovation while providing users with powerful performance capabilities in sleek designs.
