Apple MacBook Pro 16-Inch Launched In India Starting From Rs. 1,99,990

Apple was highly speculations to be working on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Adding life to these claims the tech giant just officially unveiled the refreshed MacBook Pro and launched the same in India. It is touted to be the world's best pro notebook with improved components that deliver up to 80% improved performance.

The newly launched MacBook Pro comes with a Magic Keyboard, which is claimed to address the complaints related to the reliability of the previous butterfly-style key switches. The 16-inch display on this notebook is the largest ever Retina display used by a MacBook ever and it flaunts a resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels.

Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch model is priced starting from Rs. 1,99,900 in India for the entry-level variant with 512GB storage space. Interested buyers can purchase the same via Apple Authorized Resellers across the world. It comes in two color options - Silver and Space Gray.

Apple MacBook Pro Specifications

The new Apple MacBook Pro flaunts a 16-inch Retina display, up to 60Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of 500 nits. Under its hood, the notebook is powered by an octa-core Intel Core i9 processor clocked at 2.3GHz base clock speed and it can be increased up to 5GHz.

The other hardware aspects include the new AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics with 8GB VRAM and GDDR6 video memory. Furthermore, there is support for up to 64GB RAM and 512GB/1TB SSD. The new entrant in the MacBook Pro family comes with a whopping 8TB.

As mentioned above, there is a new Magic Keyboard with a physical Escape key and an inverted T arrangement for the navigation keys. It also comes with Touch ID and Touch Bar. The thermal design on the new notebook features extended blades with bigger vents and a larger heat sink.

The new Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch model comes with a redesigned six-speaker system with the company's force-canceling woofers. This system uses dual-opposed speaker drivers that minimize unwanted vibrations that cause distortion in the sound.

Detailing on ports and connectivity options, there is Bluetooth 5.0, a HD 720p webcam, 4x Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port, a headphone jack, DisplayPort and Wi-Fi. The device gets the power from a 100Wh battery that can be charged via a 96W Type-C power adapter.

What We Think

It is interesting to see that the newly launched Apple MacBook Pro brings the necessary design changes that users had been anticipating. But we can get to know more about its performance only after having our hands on it.
