Apple MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max Chips Launching in India and Globally in March: Report
Apple may be preparing another refresh of the MacBook Pro range. Several reports suggest new models using updated M5 series processors could arrive around March 2026. Industry watchers link the window to macOS 26.3 and to lower US store stock.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman writes in the "Power On" newsletter about Apple's plans. According to Gurman, Apple plans to introduce "faster" MacBook Pro models during the macOS 26.3 cycle. Devices reportedly carry the codes J714 and J716 and are expected to keep the current design. Sales could start late February or in March.

Upcoming MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors
Gurman also notes tightening availability for the current MacBook Pro. On the Apple online store, the US storefront lists delivery windows stretching from February to March. Some configurations show longer waits than usual. Analysts view reduced stock and slower deliveries as signals that refreshed hardware is near.
More detail comes from tipster Fixed-focus digital cameras, translated from Chinese posts. The leaker claims Apple will unveil its "high-end" M5 Pro and M5 Max processors in March. These chips are said to use Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's SoIC packaging technology. The approach could trim packaging expenses, but "not by much" according to the source.
Earlier rumours about MacBook Pro models and launch timeline
An earlier report suggested the company intended to refresh the MacBook Pro lineup with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets. Those MacBook Pro models were expected to debut on January 28 alongside Apple's Creator Suite subscription. The launch window appears to have shifted, with observers saying Apple postponed the announcement for unspecified reasons.
