Apple ‘Pro and Tell’ Event on October 28: Touchscreen MacBook Pro, M6 Macs and iPad Mini OLED Expected
Apple has announced a new media event in Los Angeles on October 28, just weeks after its October 13 product showcase. Titled "Pro and tell", the upcoming Apple Experience is expected to focus on new MacBook Pro models, updated Mac desktops, and a redesigned iPad mini.
The biggest anticipated announcement is Apple's first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen and an OLED display, potentially marking a significant change to its laptop lineup.

Apple 'Pro and Tell' Event: Date, Time and What to Expect
Apple's October 28 event will begin at 10 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM IST) in Los Angeles. The company has invited select members of the media for an in-person experience, where attendees are expected to get hands-on time with its upcoming products.
Unlike a traditional Apple keynote, the event is not expected to feature a conventional public livestream. Instead, Apple could announce new products through press releases, followed by hands-on coverage and first impressions from invited media.
Apple's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Greg Joswiak, also teased the event with the phrase "Can't wait to pro and tell next week", reinforcing expectations of new professional Mac hardware. The format follows Apple's October 13 "Welcome Home" product showcase, which also centred on an in-person media experience.
Apple October 28 Event: What Products Are Expected?
Touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro
The highlight could be new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring OLED displays and touchscreen support. If launched, these would represent a major change for the Mac, which has traditionally relied on keyboard, trackpad and mouse input.
The rumoured laptops could feature a thinner and lighter design, along with a Dynamic Island-style interface. Reports suggest the high-end models may use Apple's M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, rather than the M6 processor expected in other Mac updates.
OLED technology could deliver deeper blacks, improved contrast and more vibrant visuals. However, Apple has yet to confirm the display technology, touchscreen functionality or design changes.
M6 MacBook Pro and iMac
Apple could also introduce a new entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. Unlike the rumoured touchscreen models, this version is expected to retain the existing design, with improvements focused on performance and power efficiency.
The 24-inch iMac could receive a similar internal upgrade to the M6 chip. Major design changes are not expected, although new colour options remain possible.
iPad Mini OLED
The iPad mini could also receive a substantial upgrade, with reports pointing to an OLED display, a newer A-series processor and a redesigned speaker system. Apple may reposition the front-facing camera to the landscape edge, making video calls more convenient when the tablet is used horizontally.
The OLED panel could improve contrast and colour reproduction, while the updated processor may deliver better performance for gaming and demanding applications. Water resistance has also been suggested in reports, but remains unconfirmed.
Apple has not officially confirmed the expected devices, their specifications, pricing or availability in India. More details should emerge during the October 28 media event.
