Apple Reportedly Working on 13.4-Inch MacBook Air With OLED Display
Rumors have it that Apple is planning to transition to OLED panels for its upcoming iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro series. The rumor was reported by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants in a tweet shared by paid Twitter subscribers.
Young also claimed that Apple is also working on a 13.4-inch MacBook Air which comes with an OLED display.

While the 11-inch and the 12.9-inch iPad Pros will come with an OLED panel next year, the MacBook Pro is rumored to get its OLED panel at a much later date, possibly around 2026.
Apparently, Apple wants to adopt OLED panels on its upcoming 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models first until it has sufficient production capacity for OLED displays. Therefore, the tablets will receive OLED panels first, and then the MacBook Pro models.
We had earlier reported that Samsung will be manufacturing the OLED displays that will be used by Apple. As per the latest reports, Samsung has already started working on the production of OLED displays that are likely to be used on the upcoming 13.4-inch MacBook Air.
While Young hasn't mentioned when the new 13.4-inch MacBook Air would launch, it is likely that Apple will announce it along with its 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros next year.
The OLED displays are likely to increase brightness and contrast ratio and also power efficiency leading to increased battery life than the LED displays.
As per another report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple will launch a touchscreen OLED MacBook in 2025. He has also claimed that the upcoming 13.4-inch MacBook Air will feature an M3 chipset.
The 13.4-inch MacBook Air will be a slightly smaller variant than the current 13.6-inch MacBook Air which is powered by an M2 chip.
However, there currently exists another 13.3-inch MacBook Air model and it isn't clear at the moment if Apple plans to replace the existing 13.3-inch model with the upcoming 13.4-inch variant.
