Apple’s Touchscreen MacBook Pro Reportedly Coming in 2026 With Dynamic Island

Apple is reportedly launching new Macs soon, including MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. Now, the latest information suggests that the Cupertino-based tech giant may introduce major changes to the Mac interface, including a touchscreen and the iPhone's Dynamic Island feature.

Apple May Launch Touchscreen MacBook Pro in 2026

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's first touchscreen Macs will feature Dynamic Island at the center-top of the display. The report further suggests that Apple is revamping its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models to include these capabilities, using the same OLED screen technology as the iPhone.

The new MacBook Pro displays are expected to support standard touchscreen features seen on iPhones and iPads, including fast scrolling and pinch-to-zoom functionality for images and PDFs. The Dynamic Island on Macs will be built around a hole-punch-sized cutout for the camera, smaller than the pill-shaped notch found on current iPhones.

Additionally, the MacBook Pro lineup is expected to include M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, along with support for PCIe 5.0 storage. These upgrades are set to improve data transfer speeds.

Apple Touchscreen MacBook Pro Launch Timeline (Expected)

While Apple is expected to announce new products, including Mac updates, during the first week of March, the touchscreen MacBook Pros won't be part of that rollout, according to the report. The touchscreen models, code-named K114 and K116, could arrive closer to the end of 2026. Moreover, Apple may bring a more affordable MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip.
