ASUS Brings RTX 5050 Graphics to India with New TUF Gaming F16 and ROG Strix G16 Laptops
ASUS India has expanded its gaming portfolio with the launch of three new laptops featuring NVIDIA's freshly minted GeForce RTX 5050 GPU. The new entrants include the TUF Gaming F16 and two ROG Strix G16 variants, targeting gamers, creators, and students looking for a mix of performance, AI readiness, and affordability.
The announcement follows ASUS’s earlier launch of RTX 5070-powered machines and brings a more accessible GPU option into India’s gaming ecosystem.

New GPUs, Familiar Forms
The standout spec across the new models is the inclusion of NVIDIA’s RTX 5050 with 8GB VRAM—a mainstream GPU tuned for ray tracing, DLSS 3, and entry-level AI workloads. Each laptop supports up to 16 TOPS of AI performance, thanks to the accompanying Intel or AMD CPUs.
ASUS says this rollout is aimed at covering a wide spectrum of use cases, from casual gaming and content creation to AI-enhanced workflows such as video rendering, multitasking, or prompt-based creative tools.
ROG Strix G16 (G615)
At ₹1,59,990, the premium G615 variant is built around the Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU and features a 16-inch 2.5K ROG Nebula Display running at 240Hz with 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. It pairs that with 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and a 90Wh battery. The 4-zone RGB keyboard and anti-glare panel round off the specs for gamers who value visual fidelity and performance.
ROG Strix G16 (G614) — AMD Edition
This model drops the resolution but keeps the power. Priced at ₹1,44,990, it features an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor, a 16-inch FHD+ 165Hz display, and per-key RGB lighting. It also supports Microsoft Copilot and offers a solid 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD configuration.
TUF Gaming F16
At the entry-level end is the TUF Gaming F16, starting at ₹1,24,990. Powered by Intel’s Core i5-13450HX and paired with the same RTX 5050 GPU, it retains the 165Hz FHD+ panel with 100% sRGB support. While its keyboard is more modestly backlit, it still includes the Copilot key and a 90Wh battery, making it a viable option for students and casual gamers.
Where to Buy

All three models are available via ASUS e-shop and major retailers both online and offline, including Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and ASUS Exclusive Stores. Each laptop runs Windows 11 out of the box and includes Office Home & Student 2024 with Microsoft 365 Basic.
