At the CES 2018 tech show, Asus has announced several launches such as ZenFone Max Plus, ZenBook Flip 14 and NovaGo. While the 2-in-1 laptops are not completely new, the official pricing and availability details of these devices were announced at the tech expo.
The ZenBook Flip 14 with the model number UX461 is claimed to be a creative powerhouse that is unbelievably light and thin. It is a 360-degree flippable notebook running Windows 10. Under its hood, there operates an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics, 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM. The battery powering this notebook can give it 13 hours of battery life. The screen size of the ZenBook Flip 14 is 14 inches as its name suggests and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This gives the laptop a screen-to-body ratio of 80% and 178 degrees of viewing angles.
There is a wide range of ports on the Asus ZenBook Flip 14 including an HDMI port, a USB 3.1 Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, and a microSD card slot. Also, there is support for Asus Pen active stylus that is bundled with the device. The convertible laptop comes with Harman Kardon-certified Asus SonicMaster and Windows Hello one-touch fingerprint logins.
Next in the list is the Asus NovaGo that features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile PC platform. The screen on this one can be bent backward making it a 13.3-inch tablet. Like the other tablets in the market, the NovaGo comes with LTE connectivity and runs Windows 10 OS with verified Microsoft Store apps.
There is an inbuilt eSIM or nano SIM and Gigabit-enabled Snapdragon X16 LTE modem operating under this one. The Asus NovaGo is powered by a battery that can render up to 22 hours of battery life. It has Cortana and Windows Hello features as well.
The Asus ZenBook Flip 14 is priced at $899 (approx. Rs. 57,000) and the NovaGo is priced at $599 (approx. Rs. 38,000). Given that the US pricing details are out, we can expect the global release of these 2-in-1 convertible devices to also happen soon.
