CES 2024: Asus Zenbook Duo 2024 Breaks Ground as World's First Dual-Screen OLED Laptop
At CES 2024, Asus unveiled its latest creation, the ZenBook Duo (2024), which departs from the design of traditional laptops. This evolution embraces a dual-display setup, giving users an unconventional yet intriguing approach to productivity.
Two Displays, Limitless Possibilities
Instead of merely refining its predecessor, Asus draws inspiration from Lenovo's Dual Screen laptop design, resulting in the ZenBook Duo's two dedicated displays. The Ergosense keyboard and touchpad operate wirelessly via Bluetooth, allowing users greater flexibility in their workspace.

Versatile Modes: From Book to Dual Monitor
The ZenBook Duo (2024) is a versatile laptop with several modes at play. In "book mode," the laptop resembles a book with two 14-inch displays in a 10:16 aspect ratio. Users can also stack the displays vertically at 16:10, creating a dual-monitor setup. The touchscreen capability allows the device to be used as a tablet, while the second screen can be used as a virtual touchpad and keyboard.
Display Technology
Featuring dual 14-inch OLED panels with 3K resolution (2880×1800) and a 120Hz refresh rate, the ZenBook Duo offers a cinematic viewing experience. The Lumina OLED displays boast a 91% screen-to-body ratio, slim bezels, and Pantone validation for professional content creation scenarios.
Performance
Under the hood, the ZenBook Duo (2024) boasts the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, featuring 16 cores and 22 threads. The inclusion of Intel Arc graphics with hardware-based ray tracing support enhances performance in graphics-intensive workloads. Accompanied by up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and storage options of up to 2TB of NVMe Gen4, this laptop is a formidable powerhouse.
Connectivity and Portability
Equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, a 75Whrs battery, and a weight of 1.65kg, the ZenBook Duo prioritizes portability without compromising on hardware. The laptop's camera supports Windows Hello for quick logins, and its port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, and a 3.5mm headset port.
Availability and Pricing
The ZenBook Duo (model UX8406) is set to hit the market in Q1 2024, with prices starting at $1499 for the entry-level variant.
