A Closer Look at the Dell 14 Plus and 14 2-in-1 Plus

Dell’s approach with the 14 Plus and 14 2-in-1 Plus seems focused on versatility and mobility. Both devices come equipped with Intel Ultra processors, designed to handle everything from day-to-day tasks to more demanding applications.

The Dell 14 Plus is built around a 14-inch QHD+ display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a bit more vertical space for productivity. It’s lightweight at just 1.55 kg, and Dell has managed to make it 11% thinner than previous models. It’s also fitted with enhanced sound and audio features, providing a more immersive experience for both work and entertainment.

For those who want a bit more flexibility, the 14 2-in-1 Plus includes a 360-degree hinge, allowing it to switch seamlessly between laptop, tablet, tent, and stand modes. It’s powered by Copilot+ AI features, which enable real-time enhancements, quick translations, and intelligent optimizations to streamline multitasking.

The Bigger Option: Dell 16 Plus

If screen real estate is a priority, the Dell 16 Plus is the obvious choice. Featuring a 16-inch FHD+ LED display with 300 nits of brightness, it’s designed for people who need that extra room for content creation, video editing, or even just multitasking across multiple windows.

Powered by the same Intel Ultra processors as its smaller siblings, the Dell 16 Plus also brings dedicated graphics into the mix, which should be a welcome addition for those who work with graphics-heavy software or like to game on the side. The device also includes a 180-degree hinge, allowing it to lay flat for easier collaboration.

Battery and Charging: ExpressCharge Tech

All three models in the Dell Plus lineup come with ExpressCharge technology, which Dell claims can power the device up to 80% in just 60 minutes. That’s a practical touch for those who are constantly on the move and can’t afford to wait around for their laptop to charge.

Battery life varies slightly between models, with the 14 Plus promising up to 22 hours of usage, while the 16 Plus offers 20 hours. If those numbers hold up in real-world use, it would make these models some of the longer-lasting options in their class.

Sustainability and Durability

Dell is making a conscious effort to prioritize sustainability with its new Dell Plus Series. The laptops are built using recycled and low-emission aluminum, recycled steel, and ocean-bound plastics. Dell claims these materials meet the highest environmental standards, including EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR certifications.

Security hasn't been overlooked either. Each of these models includes a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), adding an extra layer of protection for personal data. Given the rise in cyber threats, this feels like a necessary addition rather than just a selling point.

Pricing and Availability

Dell has priced its new lineup as follows:

  • Dell 14 Plus: ₹1,15,799

  • Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus: ₹96,899

  • Dell 16 Plus: ₹1,08,499

All three models are available for purchase through Dell.com, Dell Exclusive Stores, and major retail partners like Croma, Reliance Retail, Vijay Sales, as well as leading e-commerce platforms.
