HP OMEN MAX 16 Launched in India With Intel Core Ultra 9 and NVIDIA RTX 5080 for ₹3,09,999
HP has launched the OMEN MAX 16 in India, a high-end gaming laptop that puts AI at the center of how performance is managed. Starting at ₹3,09,999, the laptop is now available via HP’s online store and Amazon.

Top-tier specs, but AI takes the spotlight
The OMEN MAX 16 comes equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 9-275HX processor and NVIDIA’s RTX 5080 GPU—both meant for heavy-duty gaming and content creation. It also packs 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. But beyond the raw specs, what HP is betting on is OMEN AI—a new system-level tool that monitors how the device is being used and automatically adjusts performance settings.
The company claims this AI-based tuning helps the laptop strike a better balance between power and thermals depending on your usage patterns. It’s still in beta, but it marks a shift from traditional manual controls to a more adaptive system that learns as you use it.
Heat management and “Unleashed Mode”
As you’d expect with this much horsepower, cooling is a major focus. The OMEN MAX 16 features a dual-fan setup and a large vapor chamber that reportedly covers more than half the motherboard.
It also uses a mix of liquid metal and standard thermal paste for improved heat transfer. For those who want to push things further, there's “Unleashed Mode” in the OMEN Gaming Hub, which increases CPU and GPU power draw up to a combined 250W.
Display, design, and peripherals
The laptop comes with a 16-inch 2560x1600 display, a 240Hz refresh rate, and up to 500 nits of brightness. It also supports full sRGB coverage. HP is also emphasizing low-latency wireless connectivity with HyperX peripherals, powered by its in-house Ultra Low Latency tech. Per-key RGB lighting and a customizable light bar round out the package for those who want visual flair alongside performance.
