iBall CompBook Premio v2.0, a Windows 10 laptop launched at Rs. 21,999

Domestic manufacturer iBall has launched a new laptop running Windows 10 OS in the country at a price point of Rs. 21,999. This laptop will be available for purchase via the major retail outlets all over the country. This launch follows that of the Windows 10 2-in-1 device called iBall CompBook Exemplaire+ priced at Rs. 16,499. Notably, the convertible device from iBall was launched in January this year.

The iBall CompBook Premio v2.0 laptop is aimed at the business users, budding entrepreneurs, students and home makers. It is available only the Gun Mustard Metallic color. The launch of this laptop appears to have been done in an attempt to expand its product portfolio in India. We say so as the company came up with many new laptops and convertible devices in the recent months.

Design and Display

iBall CompBook Premio v2.0 features a 14-inch display with HD screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The company claims that the laptop has a great design and is light weight as well measuring 1.3kg without the HDD. The touchpad on this device supports multi-touch functionality as well.

Hardware and Battery

The iBall laptop makes use of a quad-core Intel Apollo Lake N4200 Pentium processor that can be clocked up to 2.5GHz speed. Also, a 38Wh Li-Po battery powers the laptop from within delivering a decent backup to it with the Intelligent Power Saving feature turned on.

RAM and Storage

iBall CompBook Premio v2.0 comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of default memory capacity. There is a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage space up to 128GB. Also, users have the choice to opt for additional storage - up to 1TB SSD or a 2.5-inch SATA HDD at the time of purchase.

Connectivity and Ports

On the connectivity front, the iBall CompBook Premio v2.0 is said to include a slew of connectivity aspects such as inbuilt dual-band Wi-Fi, mini HDMI v4.1, a USB 3.0 port, and Bluetooth 4.0. There is a 0.3MP webcam at the front.

As mentioned above, the iBall laptop comes with Windows 10 Home OS out of the box. Users who want the Windows 10 Pro can upgrade to the same by paying an additional cost of Rs. 3,000. As it runs Windows 10, there is inbuilt Cortana, the digital personal assistant from Microsoft.
