Intel Introduces Core Series 3 Processors With AI Features and Better Efficiency

Intel has introduced its new Core Series 3 processors, aimed at users looking for reliable performance without moving into higher-end price segments.

The new lineup targets everyday computing needs across laptops, business systems, and even edge devices.

Built For Everyday Use

Intel says the Core Series 3 processors are designed for students, families, and small businesses. These chips are based on the same foundation as the company’s newer Core Ultra Series 3, but tuned for more accessible systems.

They’re also built on Intel’s 18A process node, which the company describes as its most advanced manufacturing technology so far.

In simple terms, the focus here isn’t on peak performance. It’s about delivering stable, consistent performance for daily tasks like browsing, productivity, and light creative work.

Performance Gains Over Older Systems

One of the key points Intel is highlighting is how these processors compare to older PCs. According to the company, systems powered by Core Series 3 can deliver up to 47% better single-thread performance and up to 41% better multi-thread performance compared to five-year-old machines.

There’s also a focus on AI capabilities. The processors support AI workloads with up to 40 platform TOPS, along with improvements in GPU-based AI performance.

Alongside that, Intel says users can expect gains in efficiency, including lower power usage and faster productivity-related tasks.

Connectivity And Features

The new processors support modern connectivity standards, including Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.

Intel is also positioning the chips for all-day battery usage, which aligns with the broader push toward more efficient systems in this segment.

Beyond Laptops

While most users will see these processors in laptops, Intel is also extending them to edge use cases. This includes applications like robotics, smart buildings, and point-of-sale systems.

The idea is to offer a balance between performance, power efficiency, and AI capabilities across different environments.

Availability And Devices

Systems powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors will begin rolling out starting April 16, 2026, with more designs expected throughout the year.

Several brands are already confirmed to launch devices using these chips, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung, and others.
