Lenovo launched three new Windows 10 powered devices in the ThinkPad P Series
Lenovo launched three products in the Thinkpad P series. This includes two laptops and one desktop. The laptops include ThinkPad P50s and ThinkPad P40 Yoga and a ThinkStation P310. All the three devices will be made available in early 2016.
The ThinkPad P40 Yoga is the first ever multi-mode mobile workstation from Lenovo that comes with 360 degree rotating QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution touchscreen display. The device is powered by Windows 10. The rotating feature allows the laptop to be used in four modes - a laptop, a stand, tent and a tablet.
The Tablet PC also has a Super capacitor Pen and a Touchscreen that is powered by a Wacom Active ES technology. The pen runs for 8 hour straight after a 30 second charge. The device has a 6th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, with 16GB of DDR3L RAM and a Nvidia Quadro M500M GPU with 2GB video Ram. It also sports a 512GB SSD. It measures 338x236.3x19.9mm and weighs 1.8kg. Apart from the regular connectivity options, the laptop is backed by a 65-Watt battery. ThinkPad P40 Yoga starts at $1399 (roughly Rs. 93,200).
The Lenovo ThinkPad P50s features a 15.6-inch 3K with a resolution of 1620x3880 pixels resolution IPS display and is powered by the 6th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU and can support up to 32GB of RAM. The device also has a Nvidia Quadro M500M GPU. The laptop sports Lenovo Power Bridge technology which enables a battery life of 17 hours. The ThinkPad P50s will start at $1,299 (roughly Rs. 86,500).
The Lenovo ThinkStation P310 features a typical tower-like design and can be configured either with an Intel Core processor or the Xeon E3-1200 v5, to top it with up with 64GB RAM. The Lenovo ThinkStation P310 is available in two variants. The smaller device can be loaded with up to two Nvidia K1200 GPUs, while the larger one can support up to dual Nvidia M4000 GPUs. The storage options are available custom made from Lenovo.
On the front of the cabinet, it has two USB 3.0 slots, an SD card reader, and a 1394 IEEE Firewire port. At the back it includes four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports two DisplayPorts, and and Ethernet port. The ThinkStation P310 can support up to 2880x1620 pixels resolution. The Lenovo ThinkStation P310 goes for $729 (roughly Rs. 48,500).
