Lenovo Yoga 700 series Hybrid Laptops with Intel Core M processor launched

Lenovo has now launched two new Yoga 700 affordable laptops which are subsequently a part of their Hybrid Laptop series. The Yoga 700 laptops come in two different screen sizes - 11 inch and 14 inch - respectively with prices starting at roughly Rs 42,400 ($649).

The Lenovo Yoga 700 Hybrid Convertible Laptops are only available in US at the moment and can be used in four different modes - laptop, tablet, tent and stand. Furthermore both the laptops run on Windows 10.

The bigger sibling among the two - Lenovo Yoga 700 (14") - come with a Full HD (1920x1080p) display with 700:1 contrast ratio and 10 point multi touch. Under the hood is an Intel i7 6th gen SoC coupled with the Intel HD Graphics 520 chip and 8GB of RAM. Other than the GPU integrated with the SoC, the Yoga 700 (14") comes with an Nvidia GeForce GT 940M GPU.

The convertible comes with option of 256GB of inbuilt SSD storage along with HD (720p) front cam. In terms of connectivity there are the standard set of WiFi b/g/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.1, 2xUSB 2.0 and 1xUSB 3.0. The Yoga 700 laptop is also considerably light at 1.6kg and is backed by a 45Whr Li-Poly battery.

"We know fast performance, easy portability, and rich sound and display are features consumers expect in a laptop today," said Johnson Jia, senior vice president, PC Business Group, Lenovo. "That's why we made the new Yoga 700 thinner and more powerful than ever with Windows 10 and Intel's latest processor. We also added a Full HD IPS display and Dolby stereo speakers as part of its standard features so that consumers can get a premium quality convertible laptop for work and travel, at the price of a standard laptop."

Alongside the aforementioned device, Lenovo has also launched a new 11.6" Yoga 700 Hybrid Laptop featuring a Full HD (1920x1080p) OGS display which comes 10 point multi touch and 800:1 contrast ratio. Under the hood of this laptop is a 64 bit Intel Core m3-6Y30 SoC with cores clocked at 900Mhz for the base frequency and 2.2GHz for Burst Frequency.

It further comes with Intel 515 GPU, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. As expected from its smaller footprint, the Lenovo Yoga 700 (11") weighs up at 1.1kg. It's worth mentioning that laptop come with a slightly smaller 40Whr Li-Poly battery which is rated to deliver 7 hours of running time.

The Lenovo Yoga 11.6" laptop is priced about Rs 10,000 below its bigger sibling at Rs 52,200 approx. The India oriented pricing of these two laptops however hasn't been announced yet.
