MacBook Neo Launched: Apple’s New Laptop Aims to Make Macs More Accessible

Apple has announced the MacBook Neo in India, which comes as its most affordable laptop to date. The new Mac comes under the Rs 70,000 segment and flaunts an aluminium design with rounded corners. Features include a Liquid Retina display, an A18 Pro chip, and up to 16 hours of battery life. Now, let's check its price, features, and availability in India.

MacBook Neo Features

The MacBook Neo has a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2,408×1,506 pixels, 500 nits of brightness, and support for 1 billion colours. The company claims that the display of the MacBook Neo is both brighter and higher in resolution than most PC laptops in this price range.

The MacBook Neo also features a Magic Keyboard with a large Multi-Touch trackpad. As noted, the new Mac is powered by the A18 Pro, which is up to 50 per cent faster for everyday tasks than the best-selling PC with the latest shipping Intel Core Ultra 5.

For battery, it is claimed to deliver up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge. There is a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and dual side-firing speakers with support for Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.

Running macOS Tahoe, the MacBook Neo brings built-in apps like Safari, Photos, Messages, and FaceTime. It supports Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools, Live Translation, and more. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, a headphone jack and two USB-C ports for connecting accessories or an external display. Both ports can be used for charging as well.

The MacBook Neo starts in India at Rs 69,900 and Rs 59,900 for education. It is available in four colours, namely blush, indigo, silver, and citrus.
