Predator Helios 300 launched: Yet another powerful gaming laptop from Acer

Acer, a prominent provider of gaming PCs, today took the wraps off of a new gaming laptop in its Predator gaming series.

Dubbed as Helios 300, this is yet another powerful gaming laptop from Acer. The company claims that the new product will push the limits of a laptop performance. As per the company, the Predator Helios 300 is crafted to flawlessness with its stylish matte black chassis, red accents and aggressive air vents and proprietary Predator Sense software to control and customize a host of features.

Designed to Deliver Unmatched Performance

At the heart of the Predator Helios 300 is an overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or 1050Ti GPU which is combined with a high-powered 7th Gen Intel Core i7 (7700HQ) or i5 processor (7300HQ) for outstanding performance.

All of this processing power is supported by a 16GB of DDR4 memory (Upgradable to 32GB), a speedy 256GB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD. The laptop comes with an access compartment doors on the bottom through which a user can easily upgrade memory and storage components.

To help the laptop run at optimal temperatures, it is equipped with AeroBlade 3D Fan. The company claims that AeroBlade is the world's thinnest metal fan blade at only 0.1 mm.The preloaded PredatorSense software further provides real time system information and overclocking, so gamers can now monitor and control the system's vitals from one central interface.

Further, the laptop gets a next-generation 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO technology to give users up to two times faster wireless speeds than 1x1 solutions and up to five times faster than traditional 802.11n 1x1 solution.

Futuristic Design

Predator Helios 300 sports a hard edged futuristic design. The iron red backlit keyboard makes sure gamers are always striking the right notes during gameplay, while also providing a hardcore look and feel.

The laptop comes with a bright crystal clear 15.6-inch FHD IPS display as well as Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony audio technology.

Connectivity Options

On the connectivity front, the Predator Helios 300 includes a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port (featuring power-off USB charging), two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 connection.

"It connects wirelessly through fast 2x2 802.11ac technology, and also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port for those preferring a hard-wired connection," the company said during the launch.

Price and Availability

Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop comes at a starting price of Rs.1,29,999. It will be available in India from August 17, 2017 exclusively on Flipkart.
