Samsung Notebook 5 and Notebook 3 launched: Expected price, launch date, specs and more

On Sunday, Samsung announced three new laptops running Windows 10. The latest launches include the Notebook 5 and two variants of Notebook 3. Both the Samsung laptops will be released in South Korea this month and the global release will happen sometime this quarter in markets such as China and Brazil. For now, the Indian availability and pricing of these laptops remain unknown.

Both the Samsung laptops are touted to be practical laptops featuring full keyboards along with numpads featuring ergonomically crafted key caps and a wide trackpad. The screens feature anti-glare panels and are calibrated with Samsung Color Engine.

The Samsung Notebook 5 sports a 15.6-inch FHD LED anti-glare display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The laptop makes use of either the 7th generation dual-core or 8th generation quad-core Intel Core processors paired with 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU and 4GB RAM. For storage, there is a combination of SSD and HDD. The overall weight of the Samsung Notebook 5 is 1.97 kg and measures 377.4 x 248.6 x 19.9 mm in dimensions. There are a VGA front camera and a 43Wh battery powers the laptop from within. The Notebook 5 has been launched in only one color - Light Titan.

Samsung Notebook 3 comes in three variants based on the screen size and resolution. One variant has a 14-inch HD LED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the other one has a 15.6-inch HD display and the third variant has a 15.6-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. All these variants use either a 7th generation or 8th generation processor from Intel along with Nvidia GeForce MX110 GPU on the premium model and integrated graphics on the other models.

The Samsung Notebook 3 has similar RAM and storage as the Notebook 5 and the battery capacity is also 43Wh. The 14-inch variant weighs in at 1.68 kg while the 15.6-inch variants weigh in at 1.97 kg. The Notebook 3 is available in different color variants such as Deep Peach, Pure White, Night Charcoal and Misty Gray.
