Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) with 360-degree rotating display unveiled ahead of CES 2018

Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) while the CES 2018 tech show is all set to commence in a few days in Las Vegas. For now, the company has not revealed anything regarding the pricing of this convertible device.

Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) features a 360-degree rotating 13.3-inch FHD PLS touchscreen display. This rotating display lets users convert the device into a tablet or use it as a traditional PC in the landscape mode. Under its hood, the Notebook 7 Spin (2018) employs the 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor teamed up with 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The convertible device runs Windows 10 along with support for fingerprint login via Windows Hello.

On the whole, this new Samsung 2-in-1 measures around 1.53kg in weight and has a versatile design that gives it a thickness of 18.5mm. The Notebook 7 Spin (2018) features support for Active Pen but the accessory has to be purchased separately. The Active Pen support will make it easy to take quick notes. The notebook also has support for inbuilt Studio Plus so that users can create personalized movies featuring their photos and videos.

Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) has a back-lit keyboard with a Keystroke distance of 1.5mm and there is a slew of ports comprising of a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.1 port, a USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port. The laptop also has a VGA camera that doubles as a webcam.

The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) will be released initially in select countries such as the US in the first quarter of this year. We can expect the convertible device to be showcased at the CES 2018 tech show that will debut on January 9 and go on until January 12.
