Snapdragon X Platform Confirmed to Launch on February 24 in India; What to Expect?
Qualcomm is set to introduce its Snapdragon X platform in India on 24 February. This new processor aims to deliver high efficiency and performance for laptops at a more affordable price.
The announcement was made on X (formerly Twitter) by Snapdragon India, highlighting the platform's capabilities as a smart, fast, and super-efficient AI PC solution.

Performance and Features of Snapdragon X
Qualcomm recently announced its latest Snapdragon X platform, which gives an idea of what to expect from the upcoming processor. It's built on an ARM-based architecture, similar to its premium counterparts, the X Plus and X Elite. It features an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU with speeds up to 3.0GHz, using a 4nm process node for efficiency. This design promises significant performance improvements over competitors while maintaining lower power consumption.
Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon X delivers 163% faster performance at ISO-power compared to rivals, who need 168% more power for similar performance. The platform also includes a 45 TOPS NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which supports advanced AI features like Copilot+ on Windows PCs to enhance various tasks such as voice-to-text transcription, contextual search, and real-time language translation.
These features ensure that laptops remain cool and efficient during operation. Additionally, the Snapdragon X supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM, Wi-Fi 7, and USB4 (40Gbps), making it suitable for modern computing needs. Moreover, the Snapdragon X platform will power budget-to-midrange laptops which are expected to come with starting prices around $600 (₹50,000 to ₹55,000).
