Xiaomi 12.5 inch Laptop reported to be priced at Rs 30,000 (CNY 2,999)

    Xiaomi's plan of building a laptop first got leaked earlier this year. But due to lack of credible leaks the report wasn't quite believable. However it wasn't till a new leak emereged which revealed that Taiwanese firm Inventec was working on Xiaomi's laptop.

    Recently a new report by Digitimes further gives more information regarding the upcoming Xiaomi laptop. According to the report Xiaomi is working on two laptops with different screen sizes - 12.5 inch and 13.3 inch.

    In fact the high flying Chinese smartphone brand had tied up with two different firms Inventec and Compal Electronics to manufacture the 12.5 inch and 13.3 inch laptops respectively. While both the laptops were initially scheduled to launch together in around July 2016, it is reported that Xiaomi is delaying the 13.3 inch laptop as of now.

    Nevertheless Digitimes have apparently got hold of the purpoted launch price of the Xiaomi laptop. The 12.5 inch laptop is reportedly priced at 2,999 Yuan (Rs 30,000 approx.) Apparently the leaks also suggests that the Xiaomi laptop resembles the Macbook Air in terms of design. However it is worth nothing that most of the peripherals of the laptops will be sourced from China.

    No more information regarding the specs of the laptop are known as of now. However expect more information to arise with the launch date coming near.
