The Infinix Smart 5A is one of the latest budget smartphones in the country which has debuted under Rs. 10,000 segment. The device has a gradient back panel that reflects a ‘V’ pattern with light rays falling on it. The company is calling it the “Prism Flow’ design. The rear panel has a vertical camera module on the upper left which has dual sensors and LED flash. The smartphone has a tall 6.52-inch display which offers a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and a standard 6.52-inch HD+ 720 x 1560 pixels resolution. The panel supports 500 nits peak brightness and has a waterdrop notch. The panel is suitable for 720p HD video playback in both online and offline directories.

The Infinix Smart 5A employs the Helio A20 processor to handle all given tasks at hand. This is an entry-level quad-core MediaTek processor that has a base frequency of 1.8GHz and a PowerVR GE GPU support. The device has been launched in a single 2GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration. This is sufficient to drive basic tasks such as web surfing, media playback, and calling/ texting. Don’t expect a gaming-oriented performance since the chipset driving the unit is low-end. There is external microSD card support as well that will take care of the additional storage needs.

The Infinix Smart 5A has been announced at Rs. 6,499. The handset can be purchased from Flipkart in Midnight Black, Ocean Wave, and Quetzal Cyan. This price tag is suitable for consumers who are looking to buy a cheap smartphone that offers a good camera setup, a big display, and a massive battery unit.

The Infinix Smart 5A is amongst the few sub Rs. 7,000 segment smartphone which offers a dual-camera setup. The back panel has a dual-camera setup which includes an 8MP primary lens and an AI depth sensor. The device has triple LED flash and several shooting modes such as AI HDR, AI 3D Beauty, Panorama, and Custom Bokeh mode. The rear camera also supports 1080p FHD video recording. There is no dedicated Night mode for low-light photography. The waterdrop upfront has an 8MP selfie camera that supports AI HDR, Wide-Selfie, Portrait, and AI 3D Beauty mode.

The Infinix Smart 5A runs on Android 11 (Go Edition) and has the XOS 7.6 user interface pre-installed. In terms of connectivity, the device features a dated microUSB port for charging and data transfers a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity options. The device has a physical fingerprint scanner mounted at the back for security. The device packs a 6,000 mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging.

Infinix has invested majorly in the budget smartphone segment in India. Several smartphones by the company have debuted in the sub Rs. 10,000 price bucket in India in the past few months. The company has been giving tough competition to the popular counterparts such as Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Motorola with its budget devices. The latest model is a good option if need a basic phone with all the necessary hardware.
