The Motorola Edge 50 Pro was launched on April 3 (Wednesday) in India. The phone is a mid-range offering from Motorola that comes with premium-grade features like a 144Hz display, an IP68 rating, and super-fast wireless charging support. The price of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India starts at Rs 31,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model that comes with the 68W charging adapter. While the 12GB/256GB variant of the Edge 50 Pro with the 125W adapter is priced at Rs 35,999.
Upfront, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a 50MP selfie camera with Auto Focus and an f/1.9 aperture. The handset also features a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The Edge 50 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the software front, the phone runs Android 14-based Hello UI on top and Motorola is also promising three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates with the Edge 50 Pro. The smartphone packs a 4500 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. It also supports 10W wireless power sharing, but Motorola only bundles a 68W adapter in the box for the base model.
At the rear, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup including a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture and OIS support, a 13MP ultrawide Macro Vision camera and a 10MP telephoto shooter with OIS support and 3x optical zoom. The phone has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and includes an in-display fingerprint sensor.
