Samsung has announced the Galaxy M55 5G as the latest mid-range offering from the brand. The price of the phone starts at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, Rs 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, and the 12GB/256GB model costs Rs 32,999. The Galaxy M55 5G comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits peak brightness.
The Galaxy M55 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB native storage which also supports additional storage expansion of up to 1TB. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 with Samsung promising to provide 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates with the new Galaxy M55.
The handset also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, but it doesn’t include a charger in the box. For imaging, the Galaxy M55 5G offers a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Upfront, the phone gets a 50MP front camera for selfies and videos. Other aspects of the Galaxy M55 include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS for connectivity. Lastly, the phone measures 163.9 x 76.5 x 7.8mm in size and weighs 180g.
