More and more tech vendors are coming up with mid-end devices to stay competitive. It wasn't expected from BlackBerry, who recently launched BB Q5 , a mid-level device powered by BB 10 OS in India. Of course, the low-end Curve series still exists simultaneously. Call it as a failure of BlackBerry Z10 or changing market demand, Indian handset market is totally different from mature markets like US, among others.
Take for instance, HTC, who always price its handsets, a little higher than competition. However, this time around the makers have come up with HTC Desire 600, company's most affordable mid-ranged Android powered smartphone with dual-SIM and HTC BoomSound like features. All you need to pay Rs. 25,581 to get HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM.
Same can be said with Japanese giant Sony. Recently, when GizBot interacted with a senior executive over at Sony India to discuss company's portfolio to tackle Indian tech vendors; the executive gracefully told us that even though Sony is a premium player, but the company is also targeting low-to-mid-end market with devices like Xperia M, L and SP.
In the coming days, Nokia is coming up with its Lumia 625 handset in the Indian market. The device has the largest display ever conceived by the makers behind 808 PureView . The phone is said to be priced somewhere around Rs. 14,990, as per inside sources.

After Xperia Tipo and E, the makers behind Walkman have come up with another affordable device. The Xperia M is a low -end smartphone with honest features and specifications. The fancy thing about the phone is that the coming of NFC connectivity. It features a 4-inch FWVGA display having resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm powered Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB).
