10 'Best Selling' Smartphones On Flipkart That Might Appear Surprising to Many

    According to the report published in early July 2014 by market research firm IDC, India was the highest growing market in Asia Pacific with a year-on-year smartphone shipment growth of over 186% in 1Q 2014.The vast majority of the country's user base migrated to smartphones from feature phones and as a result Indian smartphone market outshone other emerging markets like China which registered a year-on-year growth of 31% in 1Q 2014.


    The brands that stood on the top 5 positions according to the quarterly report generated by IDC suggested Samsung as a top player with 35% share followed by Micromax with 15%, Karbonn with 10% and than Lava and Nokia. The share is vendor-wise.

    However, according to the recent report published by CounterPoint technologies, another market research firm, Micromax has emerged as the vest selling smartphone brand in the sub-continent leaving Samsung in the second place and what was even interesting was the fact that it beat Nokia by taking the first position in even in feature phone segment.

    Anyways, these were the report generated based on the figures over three months. But, today, GizBot has come up with the best selling handsets that might be of your interest. Moreover, according to popular online retail site Flipkart, there are in fact 'Bestsellers."

    LG-made Nexus 5 is available with 16 GB and 32 GB variants. The device sports a 4.95-inch FHD display with pixel density of 445ppi along with a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

    Powering the handset is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 quad core processor clocked to 2.3 GHz, Adreno 330 GPU tuned to 450MHz and a 2GB RAM.
