5 smartphones to be launched this summer
Are you are planning to buy a phone and not able to find the right one? There is nothing wrong in waiting for some time. Many manufacturers are planning to launch exciting devices in the next two months. We have listed some of the devices from the renowned manufacturers like Nokia, HTC and Samsung.
Google's Galaxy Nexus Prime
This is especially for users looking for pure Android experience and early upgrades. It is the official Google phone. It has been delayed many times, once in March 2012. But we can expect it surely by May this year in India. It will be available for a price of Rs 30,000 approximately.
Nokia Lumia 900
This is a flagship smartphone of Nokia and is expected to by launched by early June in India. It will be a non LTE version and will have high speed 3G support. The Lumia 800's price was slashed to 24,000 and so the Lumia 900 might occupy its earlier price tag of Rs 30,000.
Nokia Lumia 610
This is an entry level Windows Phone handset from Nokia. It will start shipping in the next month in India. It is priced at Rs 11,000. It is based on the Windows Phone Tango platform. It will be preloaded with many of the Nokia apps like Maps, Drive and so on.
HTC One S
The others in this series, HTC One X and One V are already launched in India. One S will take some more days to arrive. It is powered by the Android 4.0 ICS operating system. It will be priced less than the One X at Rs 27,000. It is the slimmest of all the HTC smartphones.
Sony Xperia Series
The Xperia P, Xperia U and Xperia Solo are the recently announced smartphones from Sony. The Xperia S was launched early this month in India. The U and P models use the Bravia engine technology. These have a new design criteria, a transparent bar at the bottom of the screen. They will be falling in the price range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 23,000.
The list is not over as there are many other devices. The Nokia 808 PureView with 41 MP camera and Samsung Galaxy Beam, the projector phone are also launching this year in the country. But their exact launch date and the pricing are not known.
