Today the Smartphone market in India is experiencing segmentation based on price. Now there are 3 categories of Smartphones available in the country namely the entry level, mid range and high end based on the cost of the handsets.

Acer Liquid E on the first look is actually a different body colored version of the Liquid E Ferrari and the phone packs in the same hardware configuration as its predecessor. This low pricing is the main reason for which the phone has been branded as an Entry level model, but the specs offered by it are similar to the ones found in high end phones.

The phone has a superb user interface courtesy of the Android Froyo OS that runs in it. The phone is powered by a 800 MHZ Snapdragon processor and is coupled to 512 MB of RAM and also comes with a Adreno 200 Graphics processor.

On the rear side there is a powerful 5 Mega Pixel camera that comes with Autofocus and digital zoom. The camera is slated to support high definition 720p video recording. Acer Liquid E will sport all the latest multimedia and entertainment options like providing playback of a number of audio and video formats. This Acer phone comes with an FM radio and 3.5 mm universal audio jack as standard options.

The Liquid E Acer Smartphone contains various connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G which provide internet access with data transfer speeds of up to 10 Mbps. Acer will also give away a 8GB Micro SD card free with the Liquid E for Indian buyers.
