Acer laptops have been making life easier with its enhanced features and unique application supports ever since they were launched. Now Acer hits the headlines with their new improved and very advanced handset, Acer W4. While exploring the phone, one would find the latest version of the Microsoft's Windows operating system, the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 ‘Mango'. The new Acer mobile handset stands out from all the other similar category mobile phones with its powerful configuration.

The new Acer mobile phone processor is a highly capable 1GHz Qualcomm MSN8255 Snapdragon. The powerful new Acer mobile handset is stylishly decorated with a 3.5 inch touch screen display screen. It will give out quality images and videos assisted by the 480 X 800 pixel resolution with 16M colors. The user interface is enhanced with an accelerometer sensor for the auto rotate option, and a Light sensor can also be found. A proximity sensor is provided for auto turn off. The basic design of the phone is a Candy bar.

More data storage facility is provided in the new Acer M310 with a considerable 8GB on the board storage. Expansion slots for memory expansions are made available in the phone in the form of a microSD, microSDHC, TransFlash, and SDIO. Other interface utilities include a USB 2.0 and a mini USB. Data transfer with the phone will be much easier now with the phone featuring the updated versions of Bluetooth, a v2.1 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.

The camera in the new Acer M310 is a 5 Mega pixel with the pixel resolution of 2592 X 1944. The device is capable of capturing videos and images with extreme clarity. The camera has various features like an auto focus; a Geo tagging etc. The device however doesn't have a secondary camera and so no video calls from the phone is possible. The camera available can be used to record videos in 720p HD with a resolution of 1280X 700 pixels. Other audio related utilities includes a FM Radio and a standard audio output jack of 35mm. Internet access through the phone becomes faster with a GPRS bundled with EDGE technology.

The media player in the Acer M310 phone has an audio/video player with multi format supports. With the application, the phone will now be able to play various audio/video files like MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, AAC+, MP4, WMV, etc.

The Acer M310 phone will demonstrate a better performance while it's used to access the online applications. The social networking is much enhanced in the handset with instant access to Facebook, MySpace, etc and other applications like YouTube; Gtalk also. The phone supports MS Office documents too.
