Even if they come with expensive price tags, the demand for high end smartphones is constantly increasing. Apparently, people don’t mind spending some money to get smartphones which boast of cool new technologies they come integrated with. But specifications and performance are not just why smartphones’ demand has grown. Design is also a significant factor.
Lately, we have been seeing various smartphones coming in eccentric designs, for instance remember the Ferrari edition smartphones. Brilliant and stylish designs have always attracted consumers. One such design which seems to have made a lot of news is pretty eccentric. It seems the smartphone with such a design is the only one of its kind till now. Kieron Scott Woodhouse, a design student, came up with idea of building a smartphone with bamboo material.
If you think this sounds eccentric, wait till you get a look at the phone. The World’s first Bamboo mobile phone, christened as Adzero, is reported to be launched in the United Kingdom. Questions might arise doubting the durability and the material quality of the handset. Adzero is made of the finest four year old organic Bamboo, with its durability tested to be optimum. Woodhouse’s concept of a bamboo smartphone attracted a technology entrepreneur who soon backed his concept.
Woodhouse states that Bamboo is a pretty fine material to be used to build a mobile handset as the material sports great quality and strength. Reportedly, Woodhouse planned to introduce the handset in the Chinese Market, but as the Bamboo handset caught the attention of a lot of people at the London Design Week, Woodhouse thought he should make it available in UK as well.
The complete specifications and features of Adzero aren’t available yet, but it has been confirmed that Adzero bamboo-built smartphone will be running in Google’s Android operating system, namely the v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There have been concerns about the handset’s weight in many gadget-forums, but Woodhouse makes it clear that the Adzero handset will weight only half the weight of Apple iPhone 4S. Also they didn’t forget to mention that Adzero will have a screen larger than that of the iPhone 4S.
A few tipsters and some investigation revealed that Adzero bamboo phone will be appearing in the markets by the end of the year, but they didn’t manage to get anything about the price details. However it has been reported that Adzero will be sporting powerful high end specifications, and can go head to head with popular high end smartphones. This might have already gotten you interested but you are going to have to wait a bit to know more details about the handset, especially the camera specifications which are most anticipated.
