Alcatel Ice3 – New Low Radiation Phone Coming Soon!

And before you know it manufacturers are now focusing on this concern from users as a means to launch new phones in the market. Ice Mobile Network has ambitious plans to sell more than 1 million of its co-branded low radiation Alcatel Ice3 phones before the end of this fiscal i.e. 2011-2012.
According to Systems Management Director at Ice Mobile, Mr. M.S Malik, the company has made conservative estimates of being able to sell more than 1 million sets in India. They aim to utilise the strategy of very low radiation levels to the maximum. He also stated that Alcatel Ice3 has significantly low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) certification. The SAR certification serves as a means to account radiation being let out by handsets. The company claims that the Alcatel Ice3 phone has a value below 1.6 Watt Per Kilogram.
The company is hopeful that the Government of India will soon lash out at handsets that have high SAR rating based on an Inter-Ministerial meeting and will ban the sale of such mobiles which pose severe health risks. This move would put an end to the flow of cheap Chinese and other such low profile handsets from freely flowing through the nations markets.
Targeting mainly at faults in the existing mobile service paradigm, the company promises replacement warranty on the Alcatel Ice3 if a service centre of the company fails to rectify a problem in one of its handsets.
Mr Malik says that the defect ratio of Ice Mobiles is the least as compared with the national industry average. As of January the company has sold more than 150 thousand handsets and has received only 859 complaints regarding the phone. The company will follow a policy of replacing the mobile if a handset has a recurring problem in it after a first service in warranty period.
The company aims to change the Taboo associated with Chinese brands in India with the help of the Alcatel Ice3 phone. The company will focus mainly on expansion to a pan India based wide network. The company plans to extend its operations to 35 cities this coming year.
The company will partner leading retail chains and mobile shops to promote the sales of this Alcatel phone.
