After Nokia, Samsung and HTC, French smartphone manufacturer Alcatel is all geared up to release a new Windows Phone handset based on WP 7.8 mobile operating system in the coming months, according to a new report.
The newsbreak swirled through a picture leak of the device, which emerged online, courtesy of Eldar Murtazin, said to be running under the Windows Phone 7.8 platform from Microsoft.
Referred to as the "One Touch with WP", it's likely to be an affordable low-end handset, and will come with the Windows Phone 7.8 OS rather than 8. It's not clear if this will be the final design, as the One Touch with WP also has the original curvy Windows Phone button, rather than the newer, angular design found on recent devices.
No specific info on what the phone would pack in terms of hardware has been provided as of yet, but we could expect it to sport 512MB of RAM or less, based on the OS flavor it runs under.
