Alcatel OneTouch Flash ‘Selfie’ Smartphone Launched at Rs 9,999
Alcatel launches a new smartphone that comes with an insanely powerful front facing shooter. After HTC and Lava, Alcatel is the handset maker to release a new selfie-centric smartphone - OneTouch Flash.
The Alcatel OneTouch Flash has a 5-megapixel camera above the screen. The company claims the device has been completely designed in France. The OneTouch Flash was first unveiled in Thailand, and now it has been revealed in India.

"FLASH is built truly for selfie fans with 2 key points - a good resolution front facing camera that also has the Beauty Selfie to enhance the user's photo without the need of any extra application", said Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, APAC, Alcatel One Touch.
These days most smartphones have decent front-facing cameras, but they do not match the cameras on the rear of the handsets. Unlike the HTC Desire Eye, which costs a lot, the Alcatel OneTouch will be priced economically. It will be made exclusively on Flipkart, staring November 21 at an affordable price of Rs. 9,999.
The OneTouch Flash has a 5.5-inch 720p HD screen and the octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM, which further can be expanded via microSD card slot. It also features a 13MP rear facing camera. The phone runs Android 4.4 Kitkat.
As mentioned earlier, the device comes with a 5MP front-facing shooter. The makers have added a 3,200mAh battery inside. Other connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, 3G/2G, GPS and Bluetooth.
Alcatel has struggled to make a huge dent in the Indian handset market dominated by the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi. Whether the Alcatel OneTouch Flash will be able to receive positive response from users is still unknown.
